* ON TIME FLIGHT DEPARTURE
You may also participate to ensure an on-time flight departure. By checking-in early (about 2 hours prior to your flight departure), you have opportunity to select your privilege seat and prepare yourself better for the next phase of journey. Please avoid showing up very close to the check-in deadline.

* FLIGHT CHECK-IN
To have a speedier start of your journey, please take advantage of our many ways of checking in. Should you bring only cabin baggage, you can use our City Check-In service, available at Garuda Indonesia Sales Offices around Indonesia and also in Singapore and the Middle East. We also have the speedy Express Check-in service available at Terminal F, Cengkareng Airport, Jakarta.

* SPECIAL REQUEST
Should you have any specific meal requirement for your flight, be sure to order for a special meal upon reservation. Garuda Indonesia will prepare for meals such as vegetarian, no salt, children's and baby meals and also no-beef meals. Just let us know at least 24 hours prior to your time of departure.

* YOUR TICKET
Please pay extra care to your tickets. Treat them as valuable documents. Be sure to check ticket details such as name of passenger (your name), flight number, the route, and time/date of departure. Upon purchase of your tickets, be sure to ask the conditions of the ticket for the particular fare that you're about to obtain. This is to ensure that you get the value that you need concerning ticketing features such validity, restrictions on time of travel, and flexibility to change your booking.

* YOUR CONTACT PHONE
To keep yourself updated with the status of your flight, be sure to state your contact number at your origin and destination and/or mobile phone number upon reserving your seats. Should there be any change in your flight's time of departure, Garuda Indonesia will inform you.

* SICK PASSENGER WHO NEEDS STRETCHER
Stretcher is used for sick passenger who is unable to use the standard airlines seat in a sitting or reclining position. At this case, sick passenger is only allowed to fly after a Medical Clearance (MEDIF/INCAD) approval has been given by the Garuda Medical Center in advance. Stretcher is request when doing RESERVATION.
Sick Passenger use stretcher is required an ESCORT by at least ONE NURSE (recommended to be escorted by a doctor) . Hospital and Ambulance arrangements should be made by the passenger or his/her physician and only after air travel arrangements have been finalized .
Stretcher Charges are subject to additional charge 300% of applicable normal Adult One Way fare.
Sick Passenger who needs to be equipped with Bottle Oxygen (certified by Garuda Indonesia) and mask should request when doing RESERVATION. Total Charge per bottle is USD 100 or equivalent and guarantee payment is USD 1800 for each bottle (all tariff may be changed any time without prior notification).

* SECURITY ITEM(S)
For Your Conveniences, please DO NOT put your firearms or sharp items in your hand baggage...
Refer to Air Transportation Dept. Regulation ( Dirjen Perhubungan Udara no 40/II/95) please be aware when you are packing your baggages (hand baggages) which will be carried to the cabin ;
* Firearms, scissors, knives, cutters, forks or other sharp item that size more than 5 cm and other item which are used as( or looked like) a weapon must be report and hand over to Check-in Officers with acceptance provident (when doing check-in process).
* If the passengers do not report that Security item and then found by the security when scanning the hand baggages, the passenger must hand over them to Garuda Indonesia officer and get the acceptance provident. At this moment, usually passengers are very disappoint to be asked to open their hand baggages for checking procedure .
* Your Security Items will be placed savely at Cargo Compartment.
* At arrival destination, ground staff will deliver the security removed item to You and ask back the acceptance provident.

* Air Travel for EXPECTANT MOTHER
Garuda Indonesia serves Expectant Mothers to make air travel with conditions as follows:
1. Category: Single Pregnancies, Normal Health and No Complications
Duration of Pregnancy: UP TILL 32 Weeks,
Acceptance: Passengers will be accepted without restriction and fill Medical Information Form for Air Travel ( please ask Check-in Officer).
2. Category: Multiple Pregnancies, Normal Health and no Complications
Duration of Pregnancy: UP TILL 32 weeks,
Acceptance: Passengers will be accepted without restriction and fill Medical Information Form for Air Travel ( please ask Check-in Officer).
3. Category: Pregnancy with Complications
Acceptance: Passengers will be accepted WITH RESTRICTION. Medical Clearance must be obtained 7 (seven) days prior to commencement of travel. Medical Clearance must be signed by Garuda Indonesia ?s physician or appointed physician. Please contact the nearest Garuda Indonesia branch office for more detail.
4. Category : New Mothers ( within 7 days after birth), are NOT recommended to make air travel.

* CARRIAGE OF NEW BORN BABIES
* Infants under 2 (TWO) Years old are accepted for travel under the following conditions:
- The Infant must be accompanied by a passenger who paid the adult fare travelling on the same flight, same class and the same destination as the infant.
- One Infant must be accompanied by one adult passenger who willing and capable to take full responsibility over the infant.
* It is not recommended Babies under 7 (seven) days old to make air travel.
* Babies whose age are between 7 days old upto 2 years Old sholud be escorted by one adult passenger.
* Premature babies should be considered as MEDA ( Medical Cases) and handled as Incapacited Passenger.
* Baby basket (BSCT) and baby meal are available on Garuda Indonesia Wide Body Aircraft (free of charge). It should be requested well in advance (when doing seat reservation). As limited numbers of cradle available on each aircraft, cradle uses base on first come first service. This cradle suitable for infants with a maximum weight of 9 kgs.
* During take-off, landing and whenever the fasten seat belt sign is on, the baby should held on the lap of the mother.

* DO YOU need smoking in your FLIGHT ?
Garuda Indonesia enforced a non-smoking policy on all flights. So it's very sorry for your inconveniences not to smoke any kind of cigarretes in the cabin.

* WHEN YOU'RE FLYING, BE AWARE OF DVT (DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS)
It is very rare condition, also known as Economy Class Syndrome. Anyone who sits motionless for along time, may develop stagnation of body fluids, which can cause small clumps of clotted blood in the lower legs. If the legs are not exercised these clots can grow and later cause more serious conditions. To reduce the risk of DVT, we recommend you try some of the subtle aerobic exercises. Also drink plenty of water and move about the cabin, when possible.

* WHEN YOU ARE ON BOARD, PLEASE TRY THESE EXERCISES.
Flying and sitting upright in a stationary position for along time, can stiffen up Your body. Try some of these subtle aerobic exercises while in your seat to try and loosen up.
FOOT PUMPS: Lift toes off the ground, hold, stretch, then put toes down and lift heels.
ANKLE CIRCLES: Lift foot off floor, draw a circle with toe for 15 sec. Reverse.
KNEE LIFTS: Lift leg with knee bent, contract thigh muscle , 20 times each leg.
NECK ROLL : Relax shoulders, drop ear to shoulder, gently roll neck forward and back.
SHOULDER HUNCH: Hunch shoulders forward, upward, backward and down in gentle circular motion.

* YOUR FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE.....
Checked Baggage: Checked Baggage or registered luggage means the articles which are delivered to the carrier to be weighed and carried in the baggage/cargo compartment. Baggage which is not presented at the same time of check-in shall be refused. For Your Conveniences in making Your Flight Journey, Garuda Indonesia offers you Free Baggage Allowance which will be applied by the class of travel and flight sectors.
For Domestic (Indonesia) Flight Sectors;
Economy Class : Maximum 30 Kg (66 Lbs)
Business Class : Maximum 40 Kg (88 Lbs).
For International / Regional Flight Sectors;
Economy Class : Maximum 20 Kg (44 Lbs);
Business Class : Maximum 30 Kg (66 Lbs).

Please be well informed that Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance should be applied excess baggage weight charge with Rate per Kilos :
1,5% of Normal, One way , Adult, Economy Class FARE of the flight sector.

* Since Your Baggages will be carried savely in cargo compartmen of the aircraft, please do not keep your medicines, documents and other equipments which will be needed onboard in those baggages.
* Please do not put your valuable belongings in Your Checked Baggages.
* Children and infants paying at least 50% of adult fare, receive the same free baggage allowance as adult.
* Incapacitated Passenger may carry free of charge: a wheel chair, crutches or other orthopedic device.
* Where a family or a group of tourist as one party to a common destination or point of stop over by the same flight, present themselves as well as their baggage allowance the same as to the combination of their individual free baggage allowance.
* A Golf bag containing golf clubs and one pair of golf shoes (considered as one piece of baggage) with total dimension 62 inch (158 cm)is free as checked baggage.
* One unit of Surfboard for each passenger is free as checked baggage.

Carry on baggage /Cabin baggage / Unchecked Baggage
Carry On baggage or unchecked baggage is baggage that is not checked in, but kept in the cabin under the passenger custody.
For safety and comfort, please do not carry more than ONE piece of carry-on baggage in limitation and/on interline involved and please store the baggage under the seat in front or in the overhead luggage bin.
Incase the cabin baggage is oversized or the weight is heavier than the standard weight, the cabin crew may refuse the baggage in to the cabin.
Carry-On baggage which may be carried in addition to the free baggage allowance as:
? a hand bag, a pocket book or purse ( but do not put any sharp items/fire arms in the bag)
? an overcoat, wrap or blanket
? an umbrella or walking stick
? a small camera and/ or a pair of binoculars
? a reasonable amount of reading matters for in flight
? infant-carrying basket or bassinet
? a full collapsible wheelchair or a pair of crutches for passenger use provided that he/she is dependent upon them.

Garuda Indonesia will not accept animals for carriage in passenger cabin. Carriage of pets (dogs, cats, marmot, guinea, hamster, rabbits, canary) may be allowed to be carried as accompanied bagggae as well as cargo and stowed in lower deck of aircraft compartment.

Carriage of others articles is limited by this following weight and size:
Business Class : Total Piece: 2 (two) ; Weight 7 Kgs ; Dim.: L50+H36+W15 CM
Economy Class : Total Piece: 1 (one) ; Weight 7 Kgs ;Dim.: L50+H36+W15 CM
